Vidyadhan and CapitaLand Hope Foundation Come Together to empower 60 meritorious students from Karnataka

Bengaluru, July 10, 2026: Vidyadhan, a pan-India higher education scholarship program by The Shibulal Family Philanthropic Initiatives (SFPI), and CapitaLand Hope Foundation India (CHFI), the philanthropic arm of CapitaLand Group, came together for a collaborative scholarship program today. This initiative aims to nurture academic talent and facilitate higher education for 60 selected meritorious students from underserved family groups. Under this partnership, CapitaLand Hope Foundation India is providing scholarship funding to enable these students to freely pursue and complete the degree courses of their choice.

To mark the collaboration, both organizations today hosted a launch event for the scholarship distribution in Bengaluru. The launch event featured the ceremonial scholarship distribution, student success stories, insights into the Vidyadhan journey, and addresses by the leadership of SFPI and CapitaLand Hope Foundation India. The programme celebrated the achievements of the scholarship recipients while underscoring the partners’ shared commitment to expanding access to quality higher education for deserving students. Under the initiative, each selected student received a scholarship ranging from Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 75,000, depending on the course and duration of study.

Mrs. Kumari Shibulal, Founder, Shibulal Family Philanthropic Initiatives (SFPI) said, “Since its inception, SFPI has been guided by the conviction that education has the power to transform not only individual lives but entire families and communities. Countless talented students are held back by financial circumstances beyond their control, limiting their ability to realise their potential. Through our partnership with CapitaLand Hope Foundation India, we are proud to support 60 deserving scholars with financial assistance, mentorship, and holistic development opportunities, empowering them to pursue their aspirations, build brighter futures, and create lasting, positive impact in society.”

Ms. Asha Thoma, COO, The Shibulal Family Philanthropic Initiatives (SFPI), commented, Every scholarship is more than financial support; it is an investment in human potential and a step towards a more equitable society. Over the years, Vidyadhan has shown that when communities and organisations come together, we can transform lives at scale. We are delighted to welcome Capitaland Hope Foundation India as a partner in this journey, strengthening our shared vision of ensuring that talent, not circumstance, determines a young person’s future.”

The Shibulal Family Philanthropic Initiatives’ (SFPI) Vidyadhan scholarship programme aims to reach 1,00,000 scholarships across 28 States and UTs over the next three years.
